MAP

Trail Description:

A intermediate 2.75 mile fast single track trail overlooking the lake. A long 15 minute endurance leg burner with room for mistakes as long as you keep your lines fast and open it up on the downhill. The trail does have a few small, but technical rock gardens and rut sections mixed in to keep it interesting.

Race Course Info:

The Segment start line is located just past the trail head before the first foot bridge. The trail is a well defined “Out & Back making it almost impossible to get off lost

The finish line is on the backside of the lake before the large rock gate that is impossible to ride through.

Battery:

XR can run this course out and back once a with 50% battery. A second run may need to ride the road back to conserve battery. Plugs located inside the restrooms at the upper main boat launch ramp. The Beach Club for food is 2 miles down the road and is charge friendly.

Additional Information:

Millerton Lake parking is $10 or park outside the park entrance on Friant Rd. for free. The trail can be ridden for a additional mile after the segment. This section of the trail is fun, but gets rocky with a few sections that need to be hiked.

The trail gets hot during the summer so it’s best to do it in the morning or before sunset.

This trail has a few steep drops on the trail’s edge and could be uncomfortable for some. Not a heavily trafficked trail, but watch for mountain bikers and hikers on the weekends. Watch for rattlesnakes when it’s hot. Be courteous and park rangers won’t hassle you.
